In 2021 Bruce paid the cost for being The Boss after taking some photos with fans and imbibing a ceremonial shot at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ. As CNN reported - "Springsteen took a shot of alcohol with fans in the park after taking a photo with them. The source added that Springsteen is known to take photographs with fans. “That’s typical Bruce,” the source said."
The Boss paid a $500 fine for consuming alcohol in a restricted area, but nonetheless, the court case is still public record as the United States vs. Bruce Springsteen, and an idea was born to memorialize our love for New Jersey's favorite son.

I purchased the black version of this hat last year. It's become such a wardrobe staple that I had to purchase the brown version. The fit is perfection. The puzzled looks from people about the meaning of the hat is the cherry on top.
